Healthy No Cook Protein Bars

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups dry rolled oats

2 scoops chocolate or vanilla whey protein

2 tablespoons flaxseeds or hemp seeds

1 cup non-fat dry skim milk powdered

¼ cup natural peanut butter

½ cup water (more or less depending on the protein powder)

1 teaspoon vanilla

½ cup raisins or other dried fruits may be used.

Method:

1 Spray a 20 x 20 cm square baking pan with non stick cooking spray, set the pan aside.

2 In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, flaxseeds and non fat skim powder, add a little(1/2 cup should be enough) water to form a sticky dough, not too much. Mix together.

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, water and vanilla. Add the peanut butter mixture to the dry ingredients and stir to form sticky dough. Stir or knead in the raisins.
  1. Using wet hands or rubber spatula sprayed with cooking spray spread the mixture evenly into the prepared 20cm pan. Freeze for 1hr or refrigerate for several hours until mixture is firm enough to cut. Cut into 9 squares or more. Wrap individually and store in your refrigerator to grab on your way out the door.
